A member of the science team on Heimaey is placing core to be scanned with the Multi-Sensor Core Logger (MSCL). The MSCL can measure things such as color, magnetic susceptibility, and spectral absorption within select energy wavelengths. It can also potentially give us information about water content and porosity.
Meh. I r8 this picture 3/8 because the MSCL machine is partially concealed behind that ugly douche in the black jacket. :/
